The front bands and facing are finished. I added some extra rows of of stocking stitch to the front bands to give me a little extra width. I was worried that it would be too tight and pull when buttoned. This worked well. Then I worked on the bottom border, which seemed to take me a long time. Tonight I finished grafting the border around the bottom of the sweater. It looks nice! I steam ironed the border and for one horrifying moment I was afraid I scorched some areas! NOTE: Need to be careful not to have the iron on the warmest setting. What a dope!!! (Another painful learning experience, but it looks okay. I can't really see anything at all unless I use my imagination.) All I have left to do is the collar, buttons and button loops. I still need to go buy the buttons. It's been fun working on this sweater. I'm sad to have it finished.
